LED Tubes to replace Fluorescent Tubes

Less flicker and less hassle doesn't sound like a bad deal for the extra few quid. I can be in and out of my garage before the light comes on some times. Should look in to that really :)

I have 10  tubes in the workshop, 1 doesn't work the others are ok but not instant, there 15 years old on the same tubes, it's getting close to replacement time,

I bought these for the shop and the workshop.

take the old tube out, take the old starter out and stick the new stuff in.

My old tubes are failing so I am replacing them 2 at a time.

I will get a couple to see how they shape up, i have 5' tubes so around £22 a unit, thanks for the link

Just picked up on this thread.

I needed a couple of new tubes in a fluorescent sitting, saw LED were available and thought - why not. They were drop in repalcements (with a gizmo that replaces/bypasses the starter). No problem - instant light - no flicker.

A no-brainer. Yes a bit more expensive, but actually offering better performance. Something we astro-types are keen on.
