Here's another image from last week, the central portion of the Great Rift.

And here's an annotated version.

Shot with a kit lens at 18mm and f5.0 on my modded 1100D. It's about 16x150 second subs, giving a total exposure time of about 40 minutes. Hope you like it, I tried to bring out some of the intricate detail in the dust lanes.

Also, here's a closer shot of some of the dark nebulae in Vulpecula that I previously posted, towards the top of the wide image.

This one was shot with a 135mm lens.

Yes, the SMC at f3.4 using a step-down ring as a front aperture mask.
