Scott
I've had a few goes at Ha imaging and finally took the plunge with a bi-colour image.Pretty much looks nothing like anything else I've seen so I've gonewrong somewhere . Still, it's a start I guess. If anyone knows of a narrowband tutorial or complete (and I mean complete) beginners it would be appreciated Hope it doesn't hurt too much Oh, it's 10 X 15min in Ha and Oiii, darks and flats Ha=Red, Oiii=Green and Bluengc6888 by Scott Prideaux, on Flickr
Mr Spock
You've got some nice detail there. I'm sure one of our bi-colour experts can fix the colour for you.

toxic
i like the second version much better .i can see the halo around the brain but it is lacking the blue, perhaps open it in photo shop and in selective color boost the blue and or cyan.
Mike Hawtin
Here you go Scott, lots of good stuff here if you are a PI user. Kayron has done a fantastic job with these tutorials.http://lightvortexastronomy.blogspot.com/p/tutorials.htMike
steppenwolf
The second version is much closer to what I would expect this object to look like but the beauty of NB and bi-colour in particular is that you have already decided to use 'false colours' so anything goes. There's some nice detail in this image so you gotta be pleased with the new camera/telescope combination?
