First Light - SXVF-M25C - Markarian's Chain of Galaxies

After a lot of fiddling around to get adapters that would fit without introducing too much vignetting, I finally got an image recorded. I had to remove my 1.25" IDAS LP filter from the light path so had to work hard on the light pollution on this one! Sadly, not very well positioned in the frame but I think it is a reasonable start for a test session:-

You know what you should do? Find patches of sky that seem to contain the letters "J", "a", "n" and "e" and make something special!

Now that's not a bad idea! Do you remember the 'constellation' that someone drew up for the 'Sky at Night' magazine that looked like a caricature of Patrick Moore? I had better start searching ....
