My first time.

The pure unadulterated truth here >> http://new-telescope.tumblr.com/

On the plus side it was nice to meet Dave and Kevin and Rob especially. It was like being in a triangle of good advice and helpfulness, thanks guys.

Also managed pics of Jupiter, and widefield of M81/82, and some star trail pics around Polaris, though conditions were far from useful for imaging. I also got myself a new mount, new clamping system, new red dot finder, new T adapter and new ideas, so managed to waste around 3 hours of clear skies just fiddling and twiddling, as you do.

I'll be more prepared for the next one!!

'Apparently there used to be a certain tent in the corner of the field where errant white light producing folk would be taken and spanked severely, but it proved to be so popular that people were deliberately bringing floodlights.'

Classic. Spat my super noodles all over the works laptop.

Nice one TJ. :D

Like wise, it was nice meeting you guys, your 'good ladies' and the youngster's.

Looking forward to meeting up again in September. Hopefully with some better weather.

Dave

How do you manage to get the RSS delivered to your inbox?

I use Mozilla Thunderbird as a mail application, which allows me to pull in RSS feeds into a folder which I can read as and when I require.
