I would like to take this opportunity to say sorry for the upcoming month long spell of bad weather we are about to have..

The reason for this upcoming spell of bad weather being that I have just placed an order with Flo for a 200mm Skyliner.

But not to worry, it will at least give me time to look at my newly ordered copy or 'Turn Left at Orion'

You are only making things worse, the weather is bad enough already, the 

north west has been cloud wind and rain for weeks, I was out last night for

a couple of hours, then the cloud and sea mist rolled in, probably the same

time you ordered your scope, see what you have done.

You won't go far wrong with the 200p, you are now a member of the Dob Mob.

Cloudless here last night!!. That's a great scope, don't forget to buy a copy of sky& telescope pocket star atlas and download  stellarium (  http://www.stellarium.org/ ) .. At least you will have something to read when the clouds come in....

I intend to purchase a Lunt Herschel Wedge and a  solar continuum filter soon.  What is the cloud penalty for this? Would be pretty pointless if there's non stop cloud from now until the end of summer

Just got new x-cel 7mm today, first new addition to my 200p, Sky looking clear so far......just not getting dark soon enough!
