sliding roof and fixings

Hi all, I am about to build my observatory and need ideas of a sliding roof and to secure it when closed any ideas and links would be greatly appreciated . It's a micro observatory at 7x5 a box to block the neighbours lights and a man cave to hide from the missus

For securing it, I clamp mine down with 8mm turnbuckles. One in each corner and the roof is down tight.

I use toggle clamps sourced from China....

I use toggle clamps too - heavy duty ones.  Makes clamping down so quick I do it every time I close the roof.  No more flying roof

There are the peg in a hole type that are very good, need no input as they can't fail to work every time the roof is closed, the piece of tube in my picture goes through a 4" X 4" post that sits in the ground 4'....

I use the latches in the pic below when I finish at the end of a session and the turnbuckles for when the obsy is unattended for any period of time or bad weather is forcast.
