hi all I have just pick up a bresser my 127 and just wondering if this is right the end of the tube where the diagnol goes spins round ? is this right. the bit shown in picture. any thoughts ? otherwise the scope is fine.
-
well done paul , one of them views to make it all worth the while.....

hi carl i agree with your thoughts on the az4 i have had one for years , i see we have the same set up az4 and altair starwave 102 ed , have you used the alt /alt setting circles ? i find they are surprisingly accurate well maybe not the alt one, depends on how it was first put on ? i use a wixey for the alt . with a mobile phone app i just transfer the cords to the mount and your there with a 32mm ep , no goto for me dont need one. and a 150p reflector its like a dob experience john.
-
hi yes i am fine thank you . the altair is a great scope but i dont think there was a big difference between the f/11 apart from the focal length the view was very similar, the f/7 is easier to handle apart from that i dont think you would be gaining much selling the f/11 to get the f/7 so maybe get another frac with a bigger aperture , but your more than welcome to meet up and try mine regards john.

wow.. they very good paul , i wont have chance to use mine for another week as i am down in the south of France, which is why i am pondering to much on gear.. i came down on the train so only have my binos with me. the focuser is the skywatcher ds which rotates 360' tbh its not much of a upgrade and i should have kept the old one. many thanks again for the photos and info. john.

Will be watching for the reports to see how this mount preforms , is that mak the 180 john? -
my head is in a spin my feet wont touch the ground ... oh back to work John.

there's always the possibility of changing the eq5 legs to ali ones making it even lighter for grab n go.. got you thinking again eh....
-
thats the amount it comes above the level , which is enough to hold a eq5 extension so should be good for the ercole.
