  1. well done paul , one of them views to make it all worth the while.....
  2. hi carl i agree with your thoughts on the az4 i have had one for years , i see we have the same set up az4 and altair starwave 102 ed , have you used the alt /alt setting circles ? i find they are surprisingly accurate well maybe not the alt one, depends on how it was first put on ? i use a wixey for the alt . with a mobile phone app i just transfer the cords to the mount and your there with a 32mm ep , no goto for me dont need one. and a 150p reflector its like a dob experience john.
  3. hi yes i am fine thank you . the altair is a great scope but i dont think there was a big difference between the f/11 apart from the focal length the view was very similar, the f/7 is easier to handle apart from that i dont think you would be gaining much selling the f/11 to get the f/7 so maybe get another frac with a bigger aperture , but your more than welcome to meet up and try mine regards john.

  21. Still got it, he does a 8" and a 10" and he makes a batch at a time, Solid build quality. John.
  22. Hi ian i had a ed100 and also have a televue 76 apo. The difference was marginal between the scopes hence i sold the ed100 , the tv76 is a cracking scope although it built like a tank it still fits on my azgti mount and my az4 mount if you get a 70/80mm scope you will find you use it more than the bigger scopes good luck with your hunt john.
  23. I not aware of any reducing adapters , i really dont see any point? If your going to invest in 2" eyepieces then buy 2" filters otherwise there's no point in getting them . John
  24. I found mine trying to connect to the house wi fi all the time , go into your phone / tablet settings and disconect the home wi fi . Worked for me. John.9 Ps take your mount away from any other wi fi source and try again to connect.
