Butchering my old Canon 300D !, well taking the IR filter out of it to be honest , been meaning to have a go at this for ages I'm hoping it will come in for astro stuff as well as normal photography.

Can't wait to try it out !

Looks pretty frightening to me Alan. Those tiny screws will need to be carefully looked after, it's amazing

how often there is one short at the end. Sometimes worse, is having one left over.

I like dabbling, but I would not attempt that task. I think you know what you are doing though.

Braver than me too! I can solder small components and have built my own car so I can do DIY but this job risks becoming an expensive doorstop if it goes belly up and I decided against doing it myself - I admire you for trying it yourself and hope it all goes well.
