Grog
Since there is a solar eclipse next month (if you didn't know lol), I would like to buy a filter/cap for my telescope.I own an Celestron Astromaster 130eq.I can't seem to find anything. I have found the material to do it but I don't feel confident enough to try and make my own.Thank you.
Bizibilder
You only need basic cardboard and sticky tape skills to make a solar filter holder for a scope (and some Baader ND5.0 film), but if you are really not that happy to make one then try FLO - if you tell them the scope you have they will be able to provide the correct size of filter. The page you need is here: http://www.firstlightoptics.com/solar-filters/astrozap-baader-solar-filter.htmlWelcome to the "light" side!!
ronin
Making your own is quite normal.FLO have some: Filters, Solar Filters, then the Astrozap bit.http://www.firstlightoptics.com/solar-filters/astrozap-baader-solar-filter.htmlYour scope would seem to be under the 155-165mm size, 130 Newtonians @ £41. Kropster
Just remember to tape it onto the telescope tube whether you buy or make it yourself. You just never ever want it to fall off!
