Is this feature a flare that from our advantage point is partially on the disc and partially showing as a prominence  ?

I spent ages looking at it earlier today and am currently learning to try and identify the features.

The feature shown on the excellent image is a filament. Filaments become prominences when they extend beyond the limb of the Sun. When half and half they are commonly called filaproms.
