A little crude modification, installing the OC1 a little further down the OTA. Great improvement and focus achieved on 1.25" and 2" (by a gnats whisker).

Fortunately the OC1 adaptor plate wad spot on for a 12" dia OTA.

Scope a little top heavy and clumsy to use, especially with the Ultima LX 32, but great views :-)

focuser looks great. you also have an extra large dob knob.

re the balance, you could create larger side bearings and re shape the profile of the rockers sides to match and this would substantially improve your alt movement.

Aside from being a little nose heavy, the alt bearing was pretty smooth. Azimuth wasn't great, especially as you got up to higher alt and had less leverage. I do have a big lazy susan, which should help with a rebuild.
