I have noticed better performance using IR Pass filter from Baader 685 than the 742 Astronomik IR pass.
Logically, the filter 742 that would deliver superior results for my very bad seeing walking around here and how it is more selective should better circumvent this bad seeing.
However tonight I made several capture using the two filters and the 685 did better on almost all.
We have been discussing in a forum here in Brazil precisely the fact of the 742 Astronomik have a gap right at the blue wavelength spectrum, ie it misses a part of this wavelength.
So I think this may compromise the attainment of a better result, since the blue wavelength with a bad seeing tends to degrade the image noticeably.
