M53 and NGC 5053 - 4-3-08 - Canon 350D

First it was constant cloud then I had to be away from home for a while then I spent several days in bed with flu. Made up for it last night by imaging several objects.

130mm APO at F6 , Canon 350D at 800 ISO.

12 X 5 mins.

M53 top right and NGC 5053 lower left.

PS Removed colour gradient from the lower right.

That's a cracking image. I don't think I've seen M53 yet - must look next chance I get. I liked NGC 5053 looking like a lovely hazy blob. I always like it when there's more than one object in an image frame.

Thats one advantage of the Canon its a cheap ( relatively :wink:) way of imaging in colour with a wide field of view. I often look to see if I can include other interesting objects in the frame.
