oldnut
evening all, I know its a bit old school but I had one many moons ago and I found it easier than any other method of star spotting. i have been looking at getting one but from what i can tell they are made of cardboard which would not last long on cold damp nights. does anyone know of a more robust version that's available? baggywrinkle
The Philips is pretty good, I use one...never runs out of battery ;-)
bobmoss
Get the Philips one as it is plastic. They also do some "starter kits" with the planisphere, a couple of books and a big start chart.
