Solar sketch 4th July 12.00

A follow up to yesterday, less happy with this as I was a bit rushed at lunchtime and also the seeing was not as good. I added a little more detail an hour later as things had improved (or the scope had warmed up!)

Looks good to me but then I haven't seen the real thing today. Unlikely to do so as well looking at the weather and forecast!

Looking at Sat24 the south east was clear and I was right on the boundary of the cloud. Unfortunately, far enough under to have no shot today.

Shame. Was lovely here until probably 6 ish, complete cloud cover now, supposed to rain later :-(

Very good sketch Stu, that is better than my half hearted  imaging today with eyepiece projection

That's an incredible amount of detail. My sunspot sketches are generally just black dots.

Thanks Bish. It's probably less detail than is actually visible. The view is incredibly sharp and full of intricate details. Some of my 'spots' are a little cumbersome, the reality is much finer
