Sun Eastern limb in Ha with PST mod, July 1st 2014

A lot of activity on the eastern side of the sun at the moment.

Here's several different flavours (which may offend some purists!), based on a mosaic of three 1000-frame captures. Terrible seeing and lack of patience prevented a larger mosaic, but it looks like we're in for a renewed bit of solar activity.

I was looking at the latest white light on SDO and quite a lot of  spots, large and small, are out in force (I missed out on white light today, no luck this evening!)

A super slice of Sun Luke.  Nothing wrong with a bit of experimenting in the post processing.  Anyway I like the 'inverted then false colour' and use it a lot to show off the filaments.
