Ooooh, very nice

Ditto re: conditions. There was me last night ready to test my new planetary filters with my Edge 8 and 120mm frac. I reckon a finderscope with no filter would almost have matched the other scopes last night... :D The view was poor without filter and poor with.

This morning, an unexpected half decent clear spell for solar, I am happy enough with the swap

I was gutted last night. The first time I have been inspired to do a night shift in a few weeks (mostly due to bad weather to be honest) and the seeing was horrible. I got more from simply using the Mk1 eyeball than the big dob.

Nice early image David.

Night time has been poor for me recently. I suspect an injection of cash and new equipment is required but Mrs DrRobin thinks otherwise. Still she isn't coming to IAS......

I just rough focus through the view finder and then fine tune it in live view. I don't have a laptop to connect to so all done at the camera. Takes a little practice and is very tricky when there are few or very small spots.
