Moon & Mars

Not sure if this post should go here or in wide field or then again maybe photography as camera only was used.

Canon 350D, 90-300 lens set at 90mm. ISO800,1/500 @ f5.6. Exposure was for the Moon which was then masked and background brought out for Mars,which, incidentally is the little white spot top left. (looked bigger and brighter in the viewfinder )

Great shot CW - saw them last night as I was heading home from a restaurant with a couple of friends and they were quite amazed (nice and bright and visible through the LP)

I think you may be over generous with the 'earthshine' but I'll take your word for it.

( I thought it was just over exposure. )
