That's pretty fine detail showing with Valles Marineris and dark volcano spots on lower left.

Thanks guys I do like this side of Mars with those volcanoes poking through the cloud. All the captures were pretty similar (4 of them covering 30 mins) so I've put them together as a animated GIF

Nice image and a great animation Stuart!

I went out to try and capture this side on the 14th, but I needed to do a meridian flip.  I can just about do this in the limited space on my balcony, but then I don't have enough room to get to the finder!

Great capture Stuart - seem to have caught some of the clouds on the western side as I did.   I also struggled with the lower transparency, but the seeing was pretty good.  The animation brings it out very nicely.
