Star Chart Generator

I am looking for software that can generate star charts for a publication - preferably in a scalable vector graphics format.  I have programs like Stellarium, Winstars and Cartes Du Ciel - but none can do what I want.

I came across software called PP3 which seems to fit the bill - unfortunately it won't run under windows 7 (64bit)

Have you tried to run the software in Compatibility Mode (in Windows 7-64) ?

What about starmap studio ? http://vangestel.de/astro/en/starmapstudio/download .Not sure about the output format though.

Ignore that, the link appears to be dead. I used the program a few years ago and the charts looked ok.

 I think the software that comes with Meade and Celestron scopes can print out charts, not sure if thats what you want though.

I use pp3 on linux (it is very good). It ought to be possible to compile it from source on Win 7, as the source code is available in C++. Not that I am volunteering!
