Finally got a chance to have a look today. Flickr playing up so this one is hosted on Astrobin. Sky looked clear enough but could only manage 1/1000th second exposure so must have been some haze, still at least the wind had dropped off from yesterday.

That is a massive spot. Really nice details.

How does this combo compare with the PST you have?

View through the PST was impressive this morning, the whole area is crackling with energy. The group you see in white light is interspersed with bright active areas. Unfortunately I am not really setup for Ha imaging at the moment.

Fantastic image! I see the Earth would be swallowed up many times over by the size of that AR :)

Beautiful detail in that shot. I just showed it to the boys (who are at home with me with a stomach bug as well), and they were stunned, especially by the comparison to the size of earth.
