A Few Galaxies

Was looking around my planetarium programme when I came across this area of sky

So I pointed my camera at it and ended up with this. Turns out its part of the Perseus-Pisces super cluster

Field of view is approx 2 x 1.5 deg.

13 x 7 min subs, Atik 383L (Lum only)

And very nice it is too!  It's also known as Makrians Chain  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Markarian's_Chain

Nice shot! There's certainly a lot of galaxies there!

Nice image, surely M33 isn't too far from there is you are looking below Beta Andromedae. The markarian chain is part of Virgo, not the Perseus Pisces cluster. Nice target!

Yes, M33 is about 2deg below image, was looking at M33 on SkySafari when I spotted the cluster of galaxies.

The full size TIFF has quite a lot of detail.

Looks really interesting you need just need to get a few more hours on it   How about a massive 6 pane mosaic in fine detail? You know you want to

is it just me or is there a nice bit of nebulosity in the foreground? either way, nice job!
