Telescope Decision! Ive decided what i will get!

After many long hours of deciding, I am going to get the 10" Dobsonian Skyliner..The amount of money i can have for one...So Its deffinately going to be this one!

Any comments?

I paid far less for my 8" Skywatcher..... In fact I was quite suprised at the price....

The skywatcher 8" scope (+EQ5) is £345 at Sherwoods a bit of a bargain that.

I got my Europa 8" for £399 with EQ5. So ther are some good deals out there.

I would consider getting a Dobby myself, but its the lack of a drive that puts me off i must admit.

I have a 10" Revelation Dob in my garage (Steve's) Although it gives superb views -it's a bit of a lump!! Not so much the weight it's the bulk of the tube.

In a comparison test between my 8" Newt and Steve's 10" Dob there wasn't hardly anything in it. If you can get the 8" Skywatcher on an EQ5 for £345 - personally I'd go for that.

All of the above is IMHO of course.

Ssssssh Mark....I don't want another week, I've got my scope out praying for it to clear, Metcheck saying clear around midnight, I don't care what time I have to see stars, I'm out there.....

I doubt it will clear!
