Skywatcher EQ6 PRO Synscan GOTO - Refurb Service

Recommended Posts

Hi

I have a Skywatcher EQ6 Pro Mount which is about 4 years old now, it has issues in that the azimuth thread has been stripped and needs sorting out and i guess after 4 years of use it would benefit from an overhaul.

Not with standing the weight I would happly dispatch it for a full service - does such a service exist ?

Regards

John B

I've used the above and also Astronomia offer a service (more expensive) but it's not publicized on the web site - you have to email their help desk and ask.

I've used both and was happy with both :)

Another vote for Graham (Astrotec on ebay link - same person) - great guy and fantastic at that sort of thing

Ah, i didn't look at the ebay link, sorry.

Graham had my mount head, got rid of all the back lash, tightened everything up, cleaned and re-greased it all. It was only £15 to send it by UPS next day delivery too! Several of the members on the east midlands stargazers forum are having their mounts stripped and cleaned and belt mods too.

He gets many thumbs up from me.

James

Hadn't heard of Graham or Astrotec - but he certainly has a nice workshop and is turning out some nice work.   Thanks for the link!
