Heads up: observing chair alternative.

I've seen on other threads people using ironing stools as cheaper alternatives to dedicated observing chairs. Here's a relatively cheap one:

These ironing chairs are often used as replacement. They are certainly much more affordable than most purpose built ones.

I have one of these.

Not had much chance to use it, but seems reasonably sturdy.

More of a perch than a lie-back and relax experience though.

Definitely will help save your back.

I use this one. Very good. Too big for a 10", though, I found, but spot on for the 16". If you're using something smaller, something like a drummer stool might be better. Check your maximum desired EP height. You might find this too big.

I built my own chair, and having an adjustable chair (or perch) makes observing so much more fun. Thorough;y recommended

I have the same ironing stool in white, really saves my back,

but in the high position the seat tilts down, so I made a wedge 

which brings it back up to horizontal, I never observe without it.
