hi all here is a home made tripod by the abergavenny master nick busby!! carrying a 10" mak g41 gemini mount and counter weights!!! and rock solid material costs 100 pound!! new tripod from gemini circa 1200 quid!!! no contest stuy

Sorry a little lot off topic but 10" f5.5 Mak. Do you have a link as I always thought Mak's were really slow and got slower as they got bigger?? Do these suffer aberrations as I always found my 127 skymax to be faultless other than the longer FL letting it down on FOV.

yes thats a mak but a MAKSUTOV NEWTONIAN!! so the f5.5 ratio is of course very normal ( a f5.5 mak cass could i think not be figured due to severe aberations created in the meniscus) regards a mad mak fan stuy
