Dew shield securing strap

Hi

I have a 10" GSO RCT - which has Losmandy rails top and bottom full length.

I want to attach a dew shield (to cut down on neighbours lights) but will have to cut it to fit around the plates.

So I am looking for some kind of strap that I can use to secure it (as it will have two cutouts in it).

Does anyone know of something that would work? I have been trawling the net for a small ratchet type strap - but no joy. They all seem to be monsters!

Any pointers gratefully received.

heavy duty Velcro?

I use a short bungee cord with a hook on each end. works for both my big dobs.

I use wide double-sided Velcro for mine on the Mak180 , that's slotted too .

I bought about 5m ages ago and chopped it into a selection of lengths , absolutely invaluable for securing cables , focus controllers etc,etc, every astronomer should have some ...
