The Sun 8 May 2013 white light

An absolutely atrocious image of the Sun today!!!!! There was a tiny gap in the clouds just as the Sun was dipping behind my neighbours house - so I set up quickly for a swift image. The lappy then decided to take just over 10minutes to boot - I have no idea why, and have since rebooted it successfully (I think it may have been the wireless internet not being able to get a signal).

You can't say I didn't try :p :

So only eight frames taken through fast moving cloud with the Sun in partial eclipse behind the house (which is why the right hand side is so dark!!!):

Well that's a depressing picture.

When AR1734 leaves us we will have nothing worthwhile to look at. Maybe by the time the clouds go away again 38 & 39 will have woken up.

Nice little capture given the conditions. I quite like looking at the sun with the clouds racing across the surface, doesn't make for a good picture, but still interesting to watch.
