Hi Sophie. Not finding the same object through you finder scope and eyepiece just means you need to align it in the day using something a couple of miles away. I used Jupiter myself to align mine and there was a lot of waving around If you do have questions then ask on the boards, the folks here tend to be nice a quick to respond.
