Another Aurora - hopefully this gives you a sense of scale.

I love Aurora shots, they never fail to amaze me, but one thing I have found is that I have never been able to get a sense of scale how big they (the AB) are from the photos. I guess as a hobbyist astronomer and ex-pro photographer one of the things I was trying to achieve when in Iceland was to bring a sense of scale to the images - and what better way than trying to include some well known constellations - in particular Orion. Hopefully this will allow some of you to grasp how huge the AB are when in full flow - a 16mm lens just doesn't cut it!
