webcam recording

When you guys record images for registax processing what software do you use to record from the webcam to pc?

I tried windows movie maker to record webcam images but it doesn't save avi :-/

+1 for SharpCap. if you're short on hard drive space try VLounge.

SharpCap is excellent, without a doubt. I used it all the time for my SPC900 imaging. When I started using the ASI120 then Firecapture seemed to be better suited to the process, but it's hard to go wrong with SharpCap.

the one I get along with best is wxAstrocapture - i prefer the sliders (0% to 100%) and the setting can be saved for each run making things repeatable. The exposure meature is also very good.
