Spring Kielder afterthought's

Hi all, big thank's to the team, great event, even though the clouds won the day, had to rush away late on saturday as the weather was looking bad to get home with rear wheel drive , and towing. Great to see everyone again, and will catch you all at event's later in the year.

Thanks again to the organisers. Although the weather wasn't as hoped, I had a great time - enjoyed the company, the talks, the scenery... and this morning's snow.

NB We saw a couple of stars poking through the clouds last night, but it was only fleeting glimpses.

Still wish I could have made it despite the clouds. Enjoy the camping and meeting fellow astronomers as much as anything.

My thanks to all the organisers as well for another good Star Party, weather didn't play

ball but it was nice so see all the people and I enjoyed the talks very much.

If you wondered what you missed on Sunday it was:

Sparkling crisp cold day interspersed with short and very heavy snow showers.

Same applied during the night - in between the snow the sky was as transparent and sparking as I've seen it at Kielder. Really beautiful.

About three to four inches of laying snow by morning and very bright sunshine.

Monday night was good. Clear skies for a while and then more snow, but not much.

Left on Sunday, work on Monday, good to see everyone, weather lousy but still woud'nt miss it.
