This winter's 'project'.

1. LRGB

2. Ha

3. LRGB with Red:Ha blended 50:50

Vixen R200S on EQ6, SXVF-H16, Astronomik Typ-2c RGB filters, Astronomik CLS as luminance, Astronomik Ha 12nm. Exposures ranged from 30 secs to 20 mins!

Critique/suggestions always welcome.

I would have preferred better contrast in the core, but I couldn't pull out a lot more in PP, I suspect using a refractor would help here.

Very good capture there! Try taking an equal number of subs at same iso but less exposure to preserve core detail. I am by no means an expert at all, but I used this technique myself last week and DSS did a great job of combining the subs and retaining detail in the core.

Just my suggestion

Adding the Ha has really done your image favours! I'm using straight RAWS from unmodded Pentax Kx at the mo, so I'm a bit behind
