Thanks guys, there's still ALOT I need to learn both in capturing images, darks flats, DSS and processing in photoshop.

Once I get a few more things to complete the setup I want I can seriously make a go of it. Looking forward to a new mount to auto-guide.

Nice man, like you, I'm getting that horrible circle gradient on my pictures, can't seem te get rid of it :(

I don't know what it is but im taking a guess at a few possible things, LP and how I've processed the image in photoshop.

That's far better than what I've managed & I've had a couple of goes at imaging it. There's Budget Astro's tutorial on gradient removal so might be worth having a look on youTube & see if that helps.

I'm currently following a few tutorials on Youtube at the minute and it is already starting to look a whole better. Thanks for the heads up.

I will post a new processed image depending on how it comes out ;).

The first one's better. It only needs flats to take a big step forward and it's already a great start. There are ways to flatten it artificially as well. If you have LP you should consider Pixinsight and Harry's tutorials. The Dynamic Background Extraction tool can bring images back from beyond the grave.

Thanks Olly, I think I will focus on getting up to scratch with flats next time and then see what results I get with more light data and flats. It's kind of pointless processing this image without the full amount of data. (Flats, darks)

At what point in processing would you turn to Pixinsight? For example would you process in Photoshop then over to Pixinsight, or is Pixinsight a image processing application?
