Sadly, the weather has been absolute, horrible Rubbish for the past two weeks - it's been raining madly, with 80mph winds for the last two days. And yes, the skies are great, especially in the winter - although I do enjoy a summer nights' session a whole lot more (I'm not quite sure, but it might have something to do with barbecue, beer and warm weather).

As for Stellarium, I've been using it since I got the scope, although I still recollected a fair bit from a really good portuguese amateur astronomy book I've kept for about 20 years now. I just take the netbook out with me, have Stellarium set to nighttime mode and point at what can be seen. And it has been fun relearning my way around the star maps.
