First half proper 460EX image .... NGC1499 in Ha

I have documented my initial thoughts on the 460EX compared to my 314L+ and I do wonder now if perhaps my biggest issue between the two was that I had the wrong filter selected on the 460EX - If that is the case, I AM a total and utter numpty, but I am going to quickly image the target in question just to check!

To date then, my images with this camera have been testing the reducer (that didn't work, but another on order!) and also having found some oddities between 314L+ images and the 460EX I have been predominantly trying to ascertain that I didn't have a useless camera!

So last night, pointed towards NGC1499 ..... Again!!! ... and took five or six 600s subs. I stacked them and quickly processed them this morning. There's no calibration files added at this stage, I just needed to get something out that proved that the camera worked and that I was a total idiot afterall!! I think I'll go and crawl under a stone for a while!

Nice to know it wasn't a 460 characteristic, that's on my wish list for a while... now you just need some time to use it more seriously!

Sara it looks great - is this H-alpha or Luminence though, or are you still uncertain about the filter used?
