Registax is deforming Jupiter

I have a video of Jupiter that I took last night, it is shot in 1024x768 mp4. format but when I convert it to AVI. and open it with registax jupiter looks like an oval beacuse Registax deforms the width and height of the video. Any idea of how to fix this? Thank you

It maybe the software you are using to convert the video to AVI. Check that you haven't altered the resolution of the video in the conversion.

I'm not 100% sure(not loaded on this,my work PC) but IrFanView is good at converting file types, worth a try.

Be sure that the software converting the file to AVI isn't set to widescreen. That could be deforming your image when you open it in the other software.

Yup, definitely sounds like the conversion program to me. I've never had problems loading 1024x768 videos into Registax.

Maybe try using virtual dub if you havent yet! It has helped me when i convert stuff!
