Hmmm, and your focal length from the 10" RC is about 2000mm? GIven your chip pixel size (5.4 microns), it means youre imaging at 0.56" /pixel which seems rather low (I was under the impression that anything below 1.00" is a bit of a no-no).

Maybe you should try binning? Yes it would cut your frame size by half but you would not lose any detail and your exposure times could be but by half (or you could go deeper).

Thats a nice M31, maybe you should run a test to see if there is any noticeable quality difference between 1x1 and 2x2. Anything that speeds up the capture process at minimum cost can only be a good thing? Or it could be that youre a whole lot more patient than I am :grin:
