I am so relieved!

After my supplier had problems getting his shipment from Skywatcher in Britain, the gear finally arrived. And it turns out that DHL's service point is just around the corner from where I work. This was really lucky since my car didn't start this morning and I had to take the train to work, I could as a co-worker to help me pick it up and put it in the office for now.

Even though my fingers are really itching to get started I had to leave for home and try to get my car running, but I inspected the shipment briefly.

The mirror was undamaged (don't trust DHL after my traning parter told me about what her boyfriend does with packages at work at DHL). ;)

The extra stuff is a small box of beginner eyepieces and filters. I also got a red flashlight and a some stuff like a collimator and T-2 adapter etc

I plan on doing a short unboxing article as soon as my car is running (and my damn neck stops hurting like hell after training yesterday).

I fully expect it to be cloudy and raining for 3 months now. Gives me time to learn polar alignment, get a batter tank and make some dew heaters.

You've cursed us with months of rain and cloud!

Congratulations on your purchase, you are certainly well set up now.

There's some great articles at astronomyshed that will walk through setting up the mount and polarscope and getting balance correct.

I doubt you'll need dew heaters for that setup, I never had any dew on my 150P.

EDIT: * Here's the link I mean, many different parts to this:

Thank you for the kind words. I've been studying astronomy sheds vids for a while now. Really good stuff, I think I have a good grasp of it in my head. I just need to translate thought into action.

My car seems to be working again so tomorrow I'll bring the stuff home, and I'm almost relieved the weather seems to be bad this weekend. If it was good, I'd have forced myself outside with the scope, and since I basicly have no idea what goes where yet, going out nowcouldonly be described as a disaster in the making.

I dont know which is more exciting......................unboxing new gear or actually using new gear. I just LOVE seeing the delivery truck pull up outside my house and the doorbell ringing.

Sadly those days are over for me as i have my ideal setup.

FOR NOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
