Great start To the night

I have just broken the foot on one of the legs of my eq5 tripod, just as I was setting up!

Does anyone know where I can buy these please. Since I have to replace one if anyone knows of an updated version I may consider that also

How has it broke? The actual foot as in the plastic covering, the locking nut etc?

If all else fails, astroboot sometimes knock out cheap EQ5 tripods.

Its the actual foot as in the actual foot at the end of the leg that the tripod stands on.

Has it actually broken or is it just the glue has snapped. when mine broke on my nexstar I just glued it back with a strong epoxy

Its shattered, into 3 pieces, I can't be sure that if I glue it it will fit properly. Or will be strong enough on the concrete floor the tripoP sits on.

I really thought that this would be an easy replacement, and considering the material I'm surprised that more people don't have this issue

Might sound a bit odd, but if First Light Optics can't help, then maybe thinking along the lines of walking-stick-frame rubbers might offer a sollution?

I have considered those, and a few other variants, I am hoping that it won't come to that as I am concerned they won't sit correctly.

There are some tripod legs for sale on astroboot at the moment. Might be worth a look at those to see if you can tell whether they match?

not a big issue i did this with my old heq5 and just compensated for it with the other legs

I have now found a very neat solution to this. Table leg feet that fit directly into the tube, they ate far more sturdy, and harder wearing than the original.

I'll post a pic in a short while, I have bought a load of them, so if anyone is in the same position please let me know,
