star party moon

Hi all:

We had great weather for our small star party...4 of us using an sct, a 10" meade, 2 newtonians and a humungous tripod mounted set of binos. Lots of interest and oohs and aaahs.

This is a single frame using a Pentax K20D dslr and a 9.25 sct at prime focus...using a reducer/corrector to get it all in. A bit of wavelet tweaking in R6.

That's a great shot, Roger. With all of the imaging of DSOs - not to take anything away from them - there is something familiar and fascinating about our moon. It never dulls me.
