Stephan's Quintet

I imaged this small target with my Celestron 280 mm CPC at F10 over two nights on 14-08-2012 captured 12 x 10 minute subs and on 16-09-2012 managed 13 x 10 minute subs this image is the combined data with calibration frames applied taken with my QHY8 Pro camera I found this background a bit difficult to process.

You can desaturate background a bit and also remove a green cast:

Very nice image, better with the green taken out of it. A pretty tough target so you've done well

Thanks for the bit tweak of the back ground I wasn't happy with it and that seems a bit better trouble is when looking at on the screen while processing it is hard to see little colour errors.

Bob, If your processing in PS (or anything that will allow extra layers) I tend to add a layer filled with 50% grey and crop it down to a little square so I can have a neutral on show all the time (used to have a black/grey/white band but find the grey box easier).

Remember to turn the grey box off before flattening though

Thanks for the tip Francis I finish off in PS so that will be a help as i have had problems in the past with colours.
