White light Sun, 3rd September

Taken with my 450D on the 127 Mak, stacked 51/120 frames (95%) of 1/1000 sec exposure in Registax 5. I used the JPEGs again because I still can't get Registax to accept a non-lossy format.

We have a seriously spotty star at the moment...

Thank you. The bad news is of course that I now have a voice in my ear suggesting that I really ought to have a dedicated solar scope. I'm playing deaf until next year though Not just because I really couldn't justify the expense at the moment, but mostly, actually, because I'm really enjoying just doing the imaging with a DSLR and the Mak.

Really superb image! such a lot of delicate lacy faculae all over the disc which shows you have achieved exquisite capture and processing
