Helix Nebula in Halpha

Hi folks,

two days ago I could collect some data in Halpha of the Helix Nebula. Not really easy. Very deep ( -20°), and moonlight from the not far away guy. 13x600s Halpha, 80/480 APO and Moravian G2-8300FW.

You can see, how deep this object is.

Guiding was difficult because of moonlight and only some weak stars in the guide cam window.

Processed with PixInsight. I hope I will get the chance to add colour data.

Regards

Werner

Nice start :) If it stays clear tonight as forecast, I'll be attempting Ha widefield (135mm f2.8 prime lens). Well away from that full moon! That rules colour out I reckon.

Very nice Werner, I would love to get my teeth into this one, just dont think I can from home. I have had a few tantalising shots of it from Norfolk, but it is very low. I'll just have to keep enjoying your pics of it instead :)
