Moon 28/06 - Imaging Source Camera - 1st attempt

Hello all,

After the awful weather yesterday, early last night we had some nice clear patches, so thought i'd try my new (had it for a couple of months) camera.

So different than using a standard webcam, but so much better .........

These were just standard black & white, with an IR Filter., but 60 fps !!

Lots to learn, but looking forward to the next one - thanks.

I too was out last night. As you say the skies were clear so I had a good old look at the Moon as well and was waiting for it to get a little darker to try Saturn again and the bloomin clouds rolled in again. Your pictures look great though.

These were about 8pm - far too early, but saw the block of cloud. Can't wait to try Saturn with it ..... whenever that may be .......

Quite nice, I've been wanting to try mine on the moon although I don't have 60fps to hit.

Do you just need the standard nosepiece I guess with the IR filter?

Thanks Jarrod - yes the standard nose peice is threaded for the IR filter that I have.

I did try my colour filters - but that was a disaser, i think just too light (& lots of cloud dodging at that time).

James - I can't wait for that, i'd still like to get a good Saturn with it before, she disappears.

Am off to look at a second hand C8 tonight, planets through that sould be good ....
