White Light 23/04/12

This is my second image of the sun and I got better focus and detail than my last one after I used a 2x Barlow and about 120mm of extension tubes, so here's the reduced size version (sorry it's not in the correct orientation)

That is exellent - the full scale image is well worth a close look the surface granulation is very clear. I assume this is a stack?

Nope, single sub, still can't get anything to stack them.

Wow, close up is fabulous, wonderful granulation and detail.

The only thing that looks weird though is it seems very bright at the limb? should truly be limb darkening so something is wrong.

That's probably because to get the detail from processing I was zoomed into the sunspot near the center and the filters have done some weird stuff to the limb..

I've had a play with one of the best images I took and extracted the big sunspots in the center. I'm finding this much easier than night time imaging.
