Just spent the morning fashioning an afocal camera-telescope adapter from polymorph to fit my Desire HD phone.

Inordinately pleased with it

Obviously, it's the middle of the day, but here's the roof of the church down the road:

Quite a lot of vignetting, but it works an awful lot better than trying to hold the phone steady by hand. Dead chuffed:D

Hmmm, I wonder if you can make polymorph into strips by feeding it through a pasta maker ....

Idle thought #2 ... can you iron it into shape? (probably with a sheet of greaseproof on either side) Now where's the iron kept.

Well done. If it works, it works. A bit of internal reflection there but that should vanish with darkness. Cant wait to see the lunar and planet results.

No need for a pasta maker or an iron. You can squash it between two sheets of glass & slice it with a box cutter.
