As an educational tool, I found this rather handy to get the visual element across to inquisitive young minds; I had some enquiries as to why Jupiter was so close to Venus when it is far away from the Sun.

(Please ignore the astronomy reference at the top of the page..:));

Venus and Jupiter were in good view so I put my scope outside all ready to go and went back in while it cooled down. Went back out approx 20 mins later and was lucky to make out a tree across the road the mist seem to come from nowhere. Cannot believe my luck, so disappointed!

Tonight they looked fabulous here, lovely clear night. No 'pass' to put the scope out (:)) but should be able to tomorrow or Wednesday - forecast looks promising for both so should be able to have a good look then.
