Mars and Saturn from last night

Hi folks!

Yesterday I started my 2nd planetary night. I tried to do something better. Seeing was better and this made it easyer to focus.

Done with Orion UK 10" f/6.3 newtonian, 2.5xbarlow and DMK 21AU618.AS. I used the IR-pass filter.

Another f6.3 10" good scopes for planets. was it windy where you was? the longish Newtonian didnt like it at my location. You got some good detail there

HI Werner,

Great work.Your Martian image matches the veiw I got in the early hours but a lot clearer!Conditions were good enough to really pump up the power even up to my rarely used 4mm eyepiece,which gave glimpses of the real splender of the planet.

Wow, great images Werner!

I was just observing last night and decided to have a go sketching Mars. It reminded me of the markings on a tennis ball, just like in your image!

Not to be critical of your wonderful photies but visually saturn's equatorial region appears more reddish to my eyes, dunno what others experience.
